I think it was either Röyksopp's Junior or Karnivool's Sound Awake. I used to buy bucketloads of CDs all the time, but have been trying to save a bit of money these days. I do miss going to stores every week and purchasing 5 albums at once. Some I'd just grab because I've heard one good song and decided to take a shot. Good times.

That's adorable that you're supporting my Future Ex-Wife Taylor Swift.

Myself, I do buy physical albums from time to time, but only if the price compares to the downloadable price on Amazon. Last album I physically bought was Michael Jackson's This is It which is most definitely a solid best-of collection. Before that was Humbug by Arctic Monkeys (only band who I've bought all their physical albums). My rule of thumb is that if I'm a huge fan of their music, I'll buy the physical album first day. If not (or if I'm super broke & can't really afford the CD), I'll download it, legally or by other means...

I bought The Antlers recent album Hospice today, and 13 by Blur. Both great albums.

Boy, you crazy!
That being said, it was probably MC Frontalot's Final Boss.

Oh dude, great album! He signed my copy when I met him at Comic-Con as well, so you bringing that up reminds me of how cool the guy is.

The Pains of Being Pure At Heart
The Postal Service- We Will Become Silhouettes EP

I bought both of those for a friend for her birthday. They are both actual albums, the Vinyl kind.

I bought these in 2008:
Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts
Dog Fashion Disco - Adultery
Stolen Babies - There Be Squabbles Ahead
Alone In The Dark OST

These were the first albums I had bought in 10 years. I haven't bought any since. There's more than enough good free music out there to satiate my listening desires. :)

I have a Zune pass, so I just download most albums using that. I think the last album I downloaded from that was John Legend's Get Lifted

The last physical CD I bought was just the other day at Starbucks. I bought Paul McCartney's Good Evening New York City.

Last for me was Mortal Kombat the soundtrack...  When it was released.   Napster came out a few years after that and I learned to encrypt and use peuters.

I feel like part of a dying breed.  I still pay for my music, I always feel that if I like a particular artist enough I do not mind paying for their album.

Anyway to answer the question,

I think the last physical album that i picked up was Discovery, which was about a month ago.  iTunes is usually my primary way of getting music now, but I was in the Best Buy and was playing the DJ Hero demo.  One thing led to another.  Good thing too, because Daft Punk turns out to be pretty amazing.

Just yesterday I ordered from Amazon:
Opeth - Damnation
Opeth - Ghost Reveries
Porcupine Tree - Deadwing

If I'm buying music I always get the CD, rather than download it.

Nice choice!  Just got that one, and am currently digesting it. And I agree, I make it a point to pay for all my music and support them by going to concerts if I really enjoy them.  To answer the topic though, my last bought albums were:
Everything is Borrowed by The Streets
Live at Reading by Nirvana
eMusic and Zunepass are currently destroying my hard drive space though, had to buy an external drive yesterday :D
