This is not going to end well. Or perhaps it will end well. Could this movement help change the world for the better? With the growing worldwide discontent against the political and financial establishment—in my home country and all through Europe people are organizing to fight corrupted politicians and their greedy fat owners—I wonder if this may very well be the beginning of our May 1968. That was the time when the young French generations stood up against the government to demand a much needed change.
Opening the vaults of dark secrets and exposing corruption everywhere would certainly help towards that goal: Real change. Perhaps this is just the beginning of a quiet and angry revolution that will make the world a better place. Maybe making that information public will be instrumental to wake everyone up.
That said, exposing emails and private information from normal people or sinking ships that are neutral in this battle will not help towards that cause. That's not good and will not help anyone but those who they declare their enemies.
But uncovering the wrongdoings of states and economical institutions? I'm all for it.

If they actually uncover some cover ups then good on them I guess. I just hope they realize that when they start fucking around with shit like this they don't get someone knocking on their door to arrest them, when they get caught. They get people like Sam Fisher coming in through their window at night while they are asleep.

So they started off with some vague moral excuses, fell back into the old pattern of "doing it for the lulz" and now they've done a 180 and they're suddenly a group interested in freedom, liberation and exposing corruption? These were the guys who were laughing their heads off at the people upset with the downed Minecraft servers several days ago. I'm all for speaking out against people restricting freedom on the internet and stopping corporate corruption but you don't have to be a genius to work out that a bunch of black hat hackers taking the law into their own hands rarely ever ends well. Someone arrest these guys already.

If they get some good shit from the banks or government then fair play to them....I think they talk bigger than they walk though....all they seem to be doing is DDos attacks. But if they can hack into a bank and expose some wrongdoings or just mess with them I'll be happy. Banks and their actions are destroying the economies of many countries at the moment and making ordinary working people pay for their mistakes - they deserve no sympathy.

They should try going outside once in a while.

What "government conspiracies" did they expect to find when hacking the likes of SEGA and Epic? Sounds like immature adults who are retroactively trying to justify their illegal behavior.
