This needs Steve Ballmer to pop up awkwardly half way through, like the dominoes guy, to be truly perfect.
Official Internet Explorer Anime
This actually exists?
Art is decent though they are clearly going for the fad that's popular nowadays. The clip was well animated. Music seemed generic but had potential if there were actually vocals. I would actually give this a shot if it were a series though it would only get a three episode grace period since it's magica girl stuff.
Well at least it made my day.
@gaminghooligan: For a second I thought that might be an anime reference,
Anyway... I'm just... baffled by this...
@von_wemberg: wait, it isn't?
@truthtellah: fund it!
@truthtellah: I'd kickstart that... but only if it's a popstar
@truthtellah: Chibi version of the bomb with lipstick. Wait, would that end up being a black Ms. Pac-Man?
THIS IS SO STUPID
And thats why I kinda like it. I can always get behind dumb.
This is the exact kind of dumb shit that I can get behind. Absolutely crazy, no logic behind it. Just pure insanity.
Still not using IE, though. It may be decent now, but I'm more than happy with Chrome. Plus, the longer everyone stays away from IE, the more batshit insane marketing techniques Microsoft has to come up with. Sticking with Chrome or Firefox is win/win.
Wow, I want to see a Chrome and Firefox version now.
Also, the animationin that video is insanely choppy - I know they probably wanted it to make it quick and cheap, but come on. It did improve a bit in the second half at least, but still, talk about a bad first impression.

Microsoft marketing at it again.

Didn't you know? Ballmer is out and going to be replaced by a young pretty boy who often doesn't noticed the dozen girls who fawn over him.
I can accept most of this shit. But this:
Hey everyone! My name is Inori and you can think of me as a personification of Internet Explorer.
When I was younger, I used to be a clumsy, slow and awkward girl.
However, just like the story of ugly duckling, people told me that I have really matured and changed over the years. I feel confident in my abilities now, and I'm eager to show you what I can do.
Why don't you get to know me a little better?
That's just the worst. The worst.
Did someone slip something into my tea?!
Yes, but the ruffies are not making you hallucinate this magnificently terrible marketing.
Didn't they do the same thing to Windows 7 a few years ago? It's pretty creative at least, not that it would convince people to go back to IE.
Squeeeeee!
Kawaii desuuu!!
Meow!
Alexis?! Is that you?
Funny story: The other day someone I know was using IE on a Windows 8 PC, but neither of us could figure out how to open another tab in the same browser. Though to be fair, I wasn't trying very hard, and the other person knows less about computer stuff than I do.
So I dunno that the claim of being "less clumsy" is true.
I dunno what the fuck everyone is complaining about. That was the greatest shit EVER. They Sailor Moon'd that shit UP!

I AGREE!
I've been trying to sort out my thoughts on this emotional roller coaster. I've laughed, I've cried. I've admired Microsoft's balls for putting this out. I've shaken my head at anyone that thought this was a good idea. It's creepy how they nailed modern anime with the conveniently obscured upskirts. Microsoft spent money making that. I think I enjoyed it, but that's only because this is really the stupidest marketing thing that a company could have come up with. And I even like anime. I really can't believe they released this. I can kind of respect that they did.
Internet Explorer PR Team don't give a fuck.
Maybe it'll make this bitter pill to swallow go down easier.
Nope, just makes me more fucking angry about this bullshit.
@ghostytrickster: ho-lee shit. I didn't think they went beyond fanart.
@ghostytrickster: First time I ever heard of the OS-tans myself was with SaltyBets where they're fighting game characters.
