React to the SF Giants Riot

For my psych class, I'm going to be writing a paper about the riot in San Francisco after the Giants won. As part of it, I want to talk about people's reactions to the riot, and I'm hoping to get some baseline data here.  So....
 
What did you think of the riot? Surprised? Disgusted? Uninterested?

People are stupid.

Who are the San Fransisco Giants? Are they a Halo clan? I hear they love them some Halo in Cali.

I wish I was there.

I really don't know San Fransisco that well as an east coaster that's never been to the west coast, but I was surprised those hippies were able to riot with the best of em.  I thought they'd be too busy smoking weed and saying 'peace bro'.

Why start a riot when your team wins something like this? Does your city not deserve the championship?
 
As you can see, I'm pretty disgusted. It's a shame; our society these days.

You're supposed to leave your cave and talk to real people for this assignment, sounds like.

I was there, in the thick of it, and I have it say it was 99% good people having fun, and the shitty 1% of people who were just looking for an excuse to riot. Even in the streets where there was rioting, there were people there who weren't participating. It really got blown out of proportion. When people are checking into a riot on FourSquare, it's not a real riot. Now if it had taken place in Oakland...

Im here in SF and I would hardly call it a riot

Meh, it happens everywhere when someone wins. Alcohol plus bottled up excitement equals a fucking mess.

It is no where near as bad as soccer riots.

Sounds like it was a shitty riot. But what do you expect? A bunch of hipsters rioting is hardly anything to be scared of.

I was surprised that it happened in SF, but I guess in the end there's no stopping the things from happening. Even if it wasn't all people from SF, others from around the Bay would come as an excuse to break shit. 

A riot is definitely in order they(the giants) have not won a world series since moving to San Francisco so this is their first in that city, so f*** that city up!

Shook my head at the ignorance and went to sleep. 
You're not gonna be surprised about people here in this little country not giving a flying fuck.  
 
But all kinds of riots are stupid.  
Those people would cry like little bitches if someone destroyed something of theirs.  
Legalize the shooting of those people, then there's some fun in it for the rest of us :D
