Real or fake Christmas tree?

Fake for sure.

We use a fake tree now. We used to use real trees but the last couple years we did they made a huge mess and my (at the time) new labrador puppy kept eating the needles and she would throw up because of it so we use a fake one now so she doesn't gorge on the needles.

Fake, never had real one so I don't feel like I'm missing out.

That was the reason we got it. Purple Christmas tree? Hell fucking yes!

Real trees of course. We just bought a real tree today in fact - they smell nicer, look nicer, are more fun to put up and decorate every year and afterwards you can use the wood for barbecues.

I couldn't imagine ever wanting a fake tree.

Fake. Real trees have become too much of a hassle. We've had the same fake one for the past two years.

We have had a fake one for the past 5 years but this year went and got a real one on a whim. I had forgotten how good it smells and the novelty of having a real one. Will be interesting to see what we go with next year.

Fake Trees are best. Why kill a tree every year to just throw it away after 2 weeks?

Parents buy a real tree. When I'm moving out I'm not going to buy any -- it seems like such an absurdly pointless tradition. Fancy dinners: sure, they're delicious. Lights? A huge pain to put up. Gifts: they bring people together or something, I guess. Trees: what is the point they're just as bad as Christmas lights.

Fake because real trees are a waste of money.

Fake with pine smell, looks and smells just like a real tree, just less messy.

The Christmas Tree is a pagan tradition and detracts from the real reason of the season.   Real or fake it doesn't matter when you are eternally submerged in a lake of fire. 

Fake all day

We only have fakes here in New Zealand, we've been using one for years now that looks nothing like a christmas tree. Although, I have seen really convincing trees here.

Fake. I can use it year after year and it is just way more convenient. No mess, way lighter, not quite as flammable, and I don't have to worry about the pine needles because owwwwww. Have you stepped on those?

Fake also, less clean up and maintaining, and you only buy one once every million years.

I had a fake tree all my childhood, but for the last 5-6 years or so I have convinced my parents on having a real one. There is no way I would ever get a fake one again, it's just not the same.

Chopped it down yesterday.

I chop down a wild cedar tree every year. The house smells so good.

Fuck all you fake tree people. The only way to go is real! You guys have no hearts and enjoy fake things.

I don't think I've ever even seen a fake Christmas tree in my life. So yeah real all the way, in fact I just chopped down our tree yesterday.

Fake tree since it's easier to maintain and less costly. I don't think I've ever had a real tree nor do I care to. The difference just isn't that important to me.

We haven't had a tree in like 5 years. I'm pretty sure they've all been real though. I don't see the point in getting a fake one when I live as I do.

Fake all the way. We got one from my in-laws a couple years ago and now that we have it I'm too lazy to ever go get a real one. Super convenient. We do, however, have to supplement with lots of pine scented candles.

I used to get real trees, but I got tired of the hassle and mess. Now I have a fake tree with lights already on it that takes about 2 minutes to set up.

As real as it gets!

Fake. Too lazy. I don't even know why we do the decorations earlier and earlier.

What kind of meaning does a christmas tree even have? It's a tree! I'm a very secular person so buying a tree to place in your house for a couple of weeks seems really destructive to me.

Fake, real is a hassle.

Real or nothing.

It's always been a part of my tradition to go out and get a real tree, this is my first year in an apartment so I had to get a fake one.

If I'm going to go through the hassle of getting a tree, I might as well go all the way.

While I do enjoy the smell of a REAL tree, i dislike the mess it causes(I have 2 dogs and I can just imagine how that would go) and my gf does the decorating in the house and she prefers a fake, reusable tree

Fake if you want to save money and just dont give a shit. My parents tried a real tree once and we hated it.
