RIP DMX (1970-2021)

DMX has passed away. I am deeply saddened by the news. Condolences to his family and loved ones. Sending prayers and positive energy. The man has left a profound impact on hip-hop, and in a way, through goomba form, on GB as well. Rest in power, king.

One of the best rappers to ever do it. Dealt with many issues in life, but still made a lasting impact and legacy. May he rest in peace.

A shame this is most likely going to be a Michael Jackson/Farrah Fawcett situation in that his death will get totally overshadowed by Prince Philip dying.

It's so sad to see all these hip hop revolutionaries dying so young. DMX was one of those rappers that it never mattered who else was on the track, he always had the best verse.

It's a damn shame.

Feels appropriate to share the following two things.

RIP to a man who brought joy to our lives. May he pop out of pipes saying "WHAT WHAT" in the after world.

I watched a small documentary on Ruff Ryders. Ruff Ryders was a hip hop record label founded by Joaquin "Waah" Dean and Darin "Dee" Dean and Chivon Dean, uncles and aunt of producer Swizz Beatz. The history of DMX and Eve and all teh other Ruff Ryders talent was really interesting. Truly, DMX was a tortured soul who went through so much in his too short life , but was a real talent/creator who has left a legacy. I hope he can rest in peace now.

This might be my favorite DMX.

I being myself a progressive do miss his lyrical abilities to sing about real issues of equality.
