Rugrats... theory or just screwup?

We know we never seen Chuckie's mom, we just know she has passed away sometime. But question is when? As in the episode real or robot, were they think Stu is a robot.

When Stu puts the kids to bed, he tells Chuckie that his mom and dad will pick him up in the morning. Confirming his mom was alive at this point in time in episode #8 real or robot. So when did his mom pass away?

Did you see the lost episode from season three where it is revealed that Phil and Lil were triplets and that their sister Jill died during one of the Rugrats many dangerous exploits? Nickelodeon obviously pulled the episode for depicting infanticide and hoo boy was it graphic. Poor Jill is ran over by a Reptar themed monster truck and those poor babies have no concept of death so they spend several minutes trying wake her up and as Tommy says it "her insides are now outsides so lets stuff them back in gang!". It gets even sadder because the poor driver of the monster truck couldn't see Jill but was so traumatized by the events that he takes his own life. All references to the episode entitled "Reptar Makes Splats!" were stripped from the show bible and all copies but a few VHS bootlegs, smuggled out by Nick interns, were destroyed.

The Reptar chocolate bar had green goo in it. That was pretty weird.

I dunno. The writers probably goofed. That was early in season one apparently. They probably didn't have the grand tapestry of lore sketched out yet.

Or Stu killed her. Either way.

She was dead the whole show, Stu just couldn't ever bring himself to tell him.

...I liked this show at an embarrassingly high age.

But what about when they're "all grown up"?

The endpoint of this is I probably end up rewatching at least 1 episode of Rugrats. Shit.

But it seems they went so far in that they eventually confirmed Chuckies mother died in the mothers day episode. So originally she was alive just something they were not really going to touch, untill the mothers day episode.

I was too old for Rugrats, but not too old for Conan O'Brian in 1998 when they did a skit "Where in the building is Andy Richter?" parodying the Today show's "Where in the World is Matt Lauer?" in which Matt Lauer would wind up at the Taj Mahal or Paris or somewhere. Anyway, Andy was just obsessed with going through the world-travelling Matt Lauer's stuff. Andy found Matt Lauer's keys to his convertible and they were on a Chuckie keychain. So Andy went down to the NBC garage to find Matt Lauer's car and it was full of fast food wrappers, bondage gear and had a license plate that said HAILS8N. My teenage brain found that really funny and made me really want that keychain. A couple of years later I found the keychain and still have it at the bottom of some bin.
