Sure if you're a Mexican, but a sunny side egg, or peanut butter would be.

Went to the local burger place across the street with my roommate yesterday; he got a burger and added a fried egg and salsa to it. Said it was delicious.

Do with this information what you will.

Yeah sure. Sounds good.

Also, salsa on scrambled eggs (or an omelet) is great too.

I guess onions/lettuce/tomatoes make it into most people's burgers anyway. You can do it, but I won't.

I never really thought about it, but that sounds kind of kickass.

Bonus points if you make your own burgers with some good chunky salsa mixed into the patties.

I take offense to this. Because it's true. I am Mexican and I put homemade salsa on my burgers should it be made available.

When I lived in Taiwan, I would often get burgers (and a bacon danbing [kind of like a Chinese breakfast burrito but not really]) for breakfast at a chain called Beautiful and Breakfast. They put fried eggs on their burgers. That tasted great. I like to put salsa on eggs. I say try putting a fried egg and salsa on that burger. I bet it would be awesome. If you decide to not do that then try to find some fry sauce (a condiment popular in Utah) and spread that on the bun like it was mayo.

If trying out a new recipe for burgers sure, otherwise just stick with what you like. I'll try it out as it sounds interesting & have some good hot salsa in the fridge but normally just stick with cheese/mayo/ketchup/bacon on my burger choice.

Ketchup is so passé. Salsa is très magnifique. Bon appétit!

But if you wanna try something really good, cover that burger with chili. Mmm, now that's good eatin'.

You should put sriracha sauce on your burger. And your pizza. And your eggs. And in your sandwiches.

Only if other ingredients are salsa related. Shredded cheese, maybe some guacamole, or even a dab of sour cream.

If you mean Salsa in the way of tomato based hot sauce then yes. If you mean Salsa in the way of just any form of sauce then also yes.

Salsa on a burger? That is an unholy abomination and I will have no part in it. It's like pineapple on a pizza, man. Just. Say. No.

This thread convinced me to put salsa on my omelette.

I've done that many times before, it's quite good! But I'm still anti-salsa on burgers. I don't want toppings so easily falling out of my hamburger! May I recommend an egg instead on said hamburger? That's the wave of the future - slowly integrating breakfast into everything!!!
