Should the forums have a better search function?

Yeah, usually I can find things well enough though. Maybe just add more options for broader or narrower searches. I really don't want it to get too complicated though. I HATE the sites that make you enter a bunch of crap, especially those damn security words, just to do a simple search.

Using some advanced Google search features like site:giantbomb.com can help find obscure threads, especially when combined with double quotes or other operators.

This is a good opportunity to encourage everyone to please use descriptive thread titles, such as "Check out this cool Super Mario Video" instead of "OMGWTF LMAO LOOK INSIDE!!!!1!!"

I think its fine for the most part, I like the drop down list if I know what I am looking for.

It's pretty bad, in my opinion. If I try to search for something, I get way too many results.

Nah, it's ok.
Now the real question is:
How on earth are people too dumb to use it like it should be?

I think it's fine, people just need to stop making threads with stupid names.

Search functionality can always be better. Any search.

A simple one for the GB forums would be options to sort the search results by date, views, replies and alphabetically.

I think it can be improved with more options, such as only searching within a specific forum istead of the entire GB message board.  I hate when i enter in a very specific search and i get a dozen threads, all which have nothing to do with what i'm looking for.

The live searching tool actually works well. I think the real problem is browsing through options and filtering them, that just seems to be broken.

Also, the entire Browse section don't work well.
