So where/what were you doing when you heard Osama was killed?

If it's been created, my bad. So what were you guys and gals up too when Bin Laden was taken out? I myself had just got done watching "Desert Punk" on DVD and was about to load up Mortal Kombat when my local news station said that Obama was about to make a speech officially stating that Osama bin Laden was killed in Pakistan. 

I had just finished reading a book I hated so then I went to Facebook, saw friends who never gave two shits about the world outside of their own bubble suddenly taking an interest, turned on the news and then went to bed.

Playin' co-op Portal when the person I was playing with got a call from her mom. She just said "I don't care, stop calling me mom" and hung up. I wanted to check it out, so I told her we'll free the humans tomorrow.

I had just woken up from a nap and opened up my browser to Giant Bomb. I saw that we had a thread going about Bin Laden being dead.

I was in my dorm room, just getting ready for bed when I heard dudes screaming outside "BIN LADIN IS DEAD" and "AMERICA, FUCK YEAH", and blowing out of a vuvuzela to celebrate. Then the flood of facebook statuses/CNN confirmed it.

When I woke up this morning. Checked the news online. Then I ate some bran flakes and hit up the toilet.

In bed, had just woken up when I heard about it on the morning radio.

I was in a bar watching election coverage when it came on as a headline.

I was (and still am) working on a speech I have due this morning. I think it's a good excuse if I don't make it. "But....Bin Laden died. Why WOULDN'T I celebrate, sir?"

Woke up in the morning getting ready to go to jury duty and saw the big news.

Also, I don't have to do jury duty. Oh lawd, what a week.

I was watching the Celebrity Apprentice last night, then It was interrupted with the announcement. I stayed up to see what Obama had to say. It was interesting.

In bed. Rudely awoken at 4am by my wife tripping over the cat. Checked my iphone and there it was....the new that changes nothing. Still, at least it isn't the Royal Wedding!

I woke up, opened all the tabs and pdfs I needed to study, and then promptly closed them all in favour of reading about it on GB, and listening to the aftermath on BBC live coverage.

I was watchin the powerup stream by team spooku. 

I was killing the final boss on Borderlands with HS21. When credits started rolling, I got a message on my phone telling me. We said to each other "...what have we done..."

Watching old clips of Osama. Oh the irony.

No seriously. I went out of bed and turned the TV on to 1 where BBC world news is.

Playing Gears of War 2 in online co-op, I sat in front of the TV watching CNN for a few hours afterwards.

I was watching Family Guy, got a text from my brother, but his phones autocorrect typed in Obama and I fucking flipped out.  What coulda been the worst night ever turn out all right.

I read it on twitter thanks to good ol' Gary Whitta. Then I ran downstairs yelling "CNN, CNN, CNN, NOW!" to my half-drunk passed out father on the couch. Then I had to wait 40 minutes for the dang speech. 

I check facebook and every other friend I had was saying Bin Ladin is dead! A lot of my friends are in the military so I guess its part of the patriotism spike that hit since the death of old OBL.

I had stopped watching the awful Extreme Rules PPV, loaded up Twitter & saw that Roger Ebert mentioned something about Obama having a press conference on Sunday which was "highly unusual" for him. Then I read the news on Twitter after the fact, then I read the multiple joks about his death, then the actual speech came up!

In Pakistan, I was told to go into some house and shoot a dude. Next thing I heard Bin Laden was dead.

I was just browsing the forums.

I woke up in the morning and checked giant bomb and saw the topic in the forums. So basically I knew that Osama had been killed because of jumanji.

I just woke up and it hit me in the face everywhere I went.

I had literally just finished a day long play session of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness to finish the last few chapters. It ended and while the credits rolled I leaned over and turned on my PC and opened my usual websites to see what was up. I found that on sankaku complex.

I had just finished playing Twilight Princess and was going to bed.

Nothing special at all - I was using my computer, searching the web for new updates to webcomics, checking email, then I stumbled across it. 

woke up and checked facebook on my phone and saw multiple people talking about it

I heard it at work this morning. A friend told me, and I was reluctant to believe him having not heard anything about it prior. Then I went on break, turned on the news, and there it was.

I was on the internet in the middle of the night so yeah.

I was in a lecture, and the lecturer halted the lecture to tell us. Luckily, it was a film lecture, so naturally there was nothing educational to halt.

Woke up, was about to go to a dog show when suddenly my brother's girlfriend shouts 'Bin Laden's dead!'

Just woke up and saw Lady Gagas post on Facebook. Yup.

I was microwaving vegetable soup and then found pizza pockets in my freezer, that was a great. Then I went up and enjoyed my vegetable soup while waiting for nice trap videos of his death.

I found out here on Giant Bomb this morning.  My TV had the Jetsons on.  Cartoon Network failed to mention it.  Go figure.

I was just serving dinner when my brother texted me with the news, and then we started watching the hubbub on TV.
