Of movies that I've seen, House (Japanese '70s horror movie, no relation to the American horror movie series) is completely and utterly bananas. Literally, at points. The film was released as part of the Criterion Collection not long ago, for those interested. To quote the back of the box, it could be described as "A psychedelic ghost tale? A stream-of-consciousness bedtime story? An episode of Scooby-Doo as directed by Mario Brava?"

At least made by a movie studio, someone could throw around some names of borderline snuff shit like August Underground, but those aren't movies, those are a physical representation of my faith in humanity going down the drain.
Man Bites Dog is a excellent look at how people get desensitized to violence (I almost said I "enjoyed" it, but the movie makes you feel pretty terrible about yourself), but there is some pretty messed up stuff that goes on. It was on Netflix Instant Watch when I saw it, so it still might be on there for people who are curious.

Fucked up in what way tho? In a "I don't want to watch this anymore" kind of way or "This is kind of cool but I have close to no idea what's going on" kind? If first one then definitely A Serbian Film, Guinea Pig movies, august underground and stuff like that. But if you want the second one it's the Dead or Alive series (all in one sitting or else doesn't have the same impact), Machine Girl, Dogtooth is a great one, some other jap shlock like Executive Panda or Tokyo Gore Police. Dogtooth is kind of the most fucked up because it is a movie but whatever happends in it is incredebly hard to follow and the uncomfortableness of every scene is priceless. I first tried to watch it with a girl thinking it's a weird comedy from greece . We both like obscure weird movies so I thought why not. About 30 minutes in I had to stop it and find something else instead. While there was probably the most uncomfortable sex scene in the beginning of the movie, it went way weirder in terms of everything a movie can get weird in. Think first episode of Twin Peaks in greek and times a hundred.
