Mine would have to be a nice jam filled on, nothing beats it IMO. What's yours?
Edit: The title should read "What's your favourite type of Donut?"

You wanna get fancy I'm right there with ya
Let's get some Fasnachts and some Croquembouches
You wanna keep it simple I'll take a Jelly Roll
But just don't' forget about the sprinkles oh-ho!
I like classic sugar-glazed donuts. Or crullers. Also the "old style" super dense glazed donuts are great. Sometimes a chocolate glaze is perfect. I don't like jams or jellies or creams in my donuts, that's just gross. I like simple donuts.

Jelly filled.
I would take just about anything over a Krispy Kreme however.
I'd take a Krispy Kreme over anything. Man they don't sell those anymore around my area.
Krispy Kreme original Donuts, if you don't like Krispy Kreme then you have a problem, best Donuts on Earth, or maybe one of the best Donut manufactures on Earth.

Agreed. I like the classic ones and from where I live they offer a second one for free with regular coffee .

I like the ones filled with Boston cream or lemon filling. Filled donuts are awesome!
This is the only correct answer :D

How they managed to convince so many into thinking a donut that is on par with gas station/grocery store donuts but warm is good is beyond me.

Gimme Crullers and Vanities
Comfits and Fritters and Long Johns please
Don't hold back, I almost been passed out
I need me some yum yums and some cream filled rounds
(I know it's out of order, but still... such a catchy song)

anything from voodoo doughnut in portland, oregon. that place rocks!
I've seen that place on T.v. Are the maple and bacon ones any good?
honestly, the smell of the maple bar/bacon combination makes my stomach feel a bit funky. i must have no soul because i'm of the opinion that bacon is NOT good on everything. i've had some of their more extreme doughnuts though, and i must say they're real good. i once left a box out in the open for 4 days. most doughnuts would have been stale after 2 days of sitting in the open within my kitchen. these doughnuts, however, are different. they were still somewhat soft and eatable. 15 seconds in the microwave solved the problem. their great flavor was retained.
the cock-n-balls doughnut:
My favorite doughnie is a crueller. They have to be super crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and just a really super light glaze on the top. Not a french twist kind, but an actual german crueller. Simple, but really hard to perfect texture and taste wise.

I know right. Krispy Kreme makes the best donuts ever, it seems that no other donut manufacturing company can touch them

I always like how they give free donuts if you buy a coffee, its why they are the best donut builders ever.

Ah, alright. I need to try those maple bars some day.
Now the real question is, why is a man eating a doughnut called "The Cock and Balls"? :P

i bought that one for comic relief and mostly for my female play thing at the time. she had fun taking pictures of it while i held it around my crotch.

Lol. That's messed up.
Well my personal favourite is a local creation in honour of our mayor and it is the bacon and maple syrup donut.
A yeast raised, fried, creme filled, glazed doughnut from Montgomery Doughnuts (sadly no longer with us - but it was the best doughnut shop in the world - I've been searching for a good replacement ever since the snowstorm in 2003 that destroyed much of the vintage equipment they used...)...
