When did you lose faith in Nicolas Cage?

Nic Cage was great in films like Raising Arizona, Leaving Las Vegas, Face/Off and Adaptation. However, once he started the National Treasure movies, everything went downhill. From there you got Ghost Rider, Next, Knowing, Bangkok Dangerous, G-Force, the list goes on. I really want him to redeem himself but that seems less and less likely each passing year.

I only liked him in Raising Arizona. The Wickerman remake was awful.

I've never had any faith in Nicolas Cage. He's always been a very variable actor.

I guess he's a pretty good actor, but I hate how he looks from the shoulders up.

Nicolas Cage is one of the worst actors in the business. I have seen a bunch of his movies and have never seen him show any kind of convincing emotion. He's a worse actor than Tom Cruise, and that’s saying something. His whole acting career has consisted of two "emotions" (as I said before, they aren’t very convincing so calling them emotions is generous). He either has on a painfully stupid smile for the lighter parts of a movie, or he is staring blankly and talking with a mumbling whisper. I’ve never seen a movie of his that is actually decent.

He is one of those actors you look for to detect a terrible movie.

Nicholas Cage is a great actor but he does some awful movies, a lot of awful movies, and he really can't pull them off the way someone like Samuel L. Jackson can.

People had faith in Nicholas Cage?

I don't think half the people in this topic have watched his older movies and they cannot grasp the fact that h e is a great actor that takes terrible roles these days.

This sums up Nicolas Cage's career.

I like Nicholas Cage.

Saying I lost faith in him would insinuate I had any to begin with. I don't know what it is about him but I can't stand him in any role, I mean, he's a competent enough actor but he always has this snide, egotistical vibe around him that I despise.

I lost faith in Nick Cage when he was in the movie Valley Girl.   Most of his movies, I generally watch once & _never_ watch it again.

Fortunately, Nic Cage was not in either of the Hellboy films (both of which are great); perhaps you're thinking of Ghost Rider.  Regardless, I dislike Cage, even though he's a national treasure. "

I've never been a fan of Cage so I guess I never had any faith to lose. He was in some good films but lately has been doing a terrible job in terrible terrible films, whatever he used to have as an actor is long, long gone.

i really liked him in The Rock but thats about it

As far as i'm concerned, the only movie he has ever made is Face/Off.
