When someone asks you for your age, what do you answer?
B,because if i tell people my real age they tend to think i'm lying :P
I'm 22 and people seem to think im 26-27 :/
I tend to say 17 just to throw people off but that only attracts the wrong kind of guys and its actually noticeable nowadays that I'm 22....oh shit.
my normal age. And funnily enough, i get both people who think i'm older and younger... I get the "but you seem too mature for a 22 yr old" :D /brag
edit: I also realized and lol'd recently at how obvious I was when i was 17-18 trying to act older and flirting with waitresses in their early 20's. makes me chuckle out of embarrassment every time!
I'm 32 and I just tell them my actual age. When I don't shave for a while, I look like I'm in my mid thirties. I have a lot of gray in my beard, so I suppose it's understandable. When I shave I look like a child and I frequently get carded. Why do you ask? What is a good situation to lie about your age?
" @melcene: I still cannot recall the last time I was asked my age. Why are you asking? "It's just a question he's asking. Why are you so defensive? It's a pretty common thing to ask someone.
I just tell them my real age and round it up if I'm a few months away from my DOB.
I've seen it. Not that I go on chatroulette of course *shifty eyes*" Do people actually ask ASL still? "
But yeah, people ask asl most of the time.
The truth being 17 means I don't need to lie to buy games or movie tickets, and those are the only time I get asked.
I say "I honestly can't remember. I think I'm around 23 or 24." I stopped keeping track after I turned 19 and was legally allowed to do anything with an age restriction on it. So until I'm old enough to start counting down to when I start getting my old age check in the mail I don't need to start counting again.
As for getting carded, it's weird. 99% of the time I never have it happen, but when it does it's usually some teenager at the cash register. No idea why that is though. Also, it depends on if I have shaven recently or not. I have a baby face so I guess I look real young when I shave. Who knows.
Real age. Only time I lie is when I'm in a hurry to watch a video online, and even then I at least find the year I was born in.
" Why would anybody ask me my age? I have not been carded in years. The local bar knows me by name and what I drink. I really do not remember the last time somebody asked me my age. "It's good that you're such a proud alcoholic :)
If someone asks me my age I tell them my age.
I tell 'em my age and then they say I look younger and I say I get that a lot and they say that I should be pleased that I look young and I kinda smile politely but it still sucks getting carded at twenty four. Especially when you have a beard and live in England so have been able to legally drink for six years.
I give them my real age. They don't always believe me since I guess I have some semblance of a baby face, but that's what ID is for.@crusader8463 said:

The adults seem to have a better grasp on recognizing age. The really annoying part is when someone you went to school with does it to you. They should know how old you are within at least a year of your actual age.
" I tell them I'm 903 and that I am the last of the Time Lords. "That is genius. I never that of that one. I might have to use that answer some time.
" @JJWeatherman said:I know! Do they realize that you have to be at least 18 to be a pimp? They better start recognizing." I got carded at Best Buy a few days ago when I bought Dragon Age. I have a beard. wtf. "And are dressed like a pimp. HONESTLY. I get carded all the time too, so I feel your pain. "
i dont think anybody is in their 40s here so there really wasnt a point in presenting a "number lower than your real age" option....
It depends on the level of aquaintance I have with the person. I don't bring it up here cuz I'm , well, old!
Why would someone be asking me my age? Whatever, I'll give them my real age, unless I have reason to believe they're involved in some sinister plot that requires my real age.
