Why would anybody ask me my age? I have not been carded in years. The local bar knows me by name and what I drink. I really do not remember the last time somebody asked me my age.
@Marcsman: That's kinda silly... they don't ask your age if they card you anyway, they look at the DOB.
As to the original post... usually I just give my age (which is what I voted for) although sometimes I play the chick card and tell them it's not polite to ask a lady.
my normal age. And funnily enough, i get both people who think i'm older and younger... I get the "but you seem too mature for a 22 yr old" :D /brag edit: I also realized and lol'd recently at how obvious I was when i was 17-18 trying to act older and flirting with waitresses in their early 20's. makes me chuckle out of embarrassment every time!
I'm 32 and I just tell them my actual age. When I don't shave for a while, I look like I'm in my mid thirties. I have a lot of gray in my beard, so I suppose it's understandable. When I shave I look like a child and I frequently get carded. Why do you ask? What is a good situation to lie about your age?
My real age. There is pretty much no reason not to outside of age gates in front of videos, in which case I go with the easiest to get to year possible. I'm 23, and people continue to assume I'm fresh out of high school, so I guess that works.
I say "I honestly can't remember. I think I'm around 23 or 24." I stopped keeping track after I turned 19 and was legally allowed to do anything with an age restriction on it. So until I'm old enough to start counting down to when I start getting my old age check in the mail I don't need to start counting again.
As for getting carded, it's weird. 99% of the time I never have it happen, but when it does it's usually some teenager at the cash register. No idea why that is though. Also, it depends on if I have shaven recently or not. I have a baby face so I guess I look real young when I shave. Who knows.

I tell 'em my age and then they say I look younger and I say I get that a lot and they say that I should be pleased that I look young and I kinda smile politely but it still sucks getting carded at twenty four. Especially when you have a beard and live in England so have been able to legally drink for six years.
I give them my real age. They don't always believe me since I guess I have some semblance of a baby face, but that's what ID is for.@crusader8463 said:

Same. The adults seem to have a better grasp on recognizing age. The really annoying part is when someone you went to school with does it to you. They should know how old you are within at least a year of your actual age.
People at work keep asking how old I am, when I say I can't go to the bar after work with them. I'm 20, but have a filthy beard (right now) and look older.
Why would someone be asking me my age? Whatever, I'll give them my real age, unless I have reason to believe they're involved in some sinister plot that requires my real age.
