So there is this test that determines your place on the left/right and libertarian/authoritarian scale. Others on giant bomb should post theirs.
Where do you fit on the political scale?
Even though I'd say I'm left leaning, I really hate this online test as at the end of it its like "Hey if you're a libertarian and left leaning, you're similar to Gandhi and Mother Teresa" and the only people who fall into the other 3 sections are like Hitler or Stalin or Pol Pot and the like, so it feels hugely biased to me...

Stopped taking this test after the question, " Our race has many superior qualities, compared with other races. Strongly agree or disagree?"
Online political tests are fucking stupid.
Literally this.
you can't sit on the fence and hope for the best you fucking childwho are you talking to?
you.I think it's more childish to choose sides and only agree on issues because your petty political team youre with agrees. How about we get rid of the the two party system and focus on making good decisions by ourselves, and not hide behind a symbolic party. American politics make no sense what so ever.
Yeah, becuase the two party system has really worked out for us. There's no poverty or unemployment, the system is set up to let all citizens get affordable healthcare and education. The presidents now dont have to bend over to corporate pressures, and fear doesnt play a role in voting. Bullshit, and you know it. All those things I mentioned are never getting fixed in this two party circus people swear by.you're using political apathy as an excuse not to think.

Agreed. The only correct response to this 'question' is to vomit into your lap.
If your political world views can be graphed, then it's time to get some new fucking world views.

It depends on what you mean by "sitting on the fence." I agree that on a particular issue, having no position is generally a cop out, but overall the entire political spectrum, it's perfectly reasonable for someone to fall into the middle: i.e. conservative on some issues, liberal on other issues, etc. That would qualify as "sitting on the fence" in terms of being "liberal" or "conservative."
This is actually a pretty accurate representation of my political beliefs (as accurate as a graph of political leanings can be anyway). Some of the questions, however, were just a little too obvious, making the test easy to manipulate if you wanted to.
I think most online political quizzes are terrible. I'm a Democratic Socialist, that's all I really need to know about myself unless you find some ridiculously lengthy quiz with like 100+ questions with multiple answers.
And yes, apathetic people are the worst.

2. America
3. The Left in the US are often disgusting cowards with no backbone or willingness to fight for what they believe in.
@Marokai said:Sorry, I should clarify. Left-wing politicians are often disgusting cowards with no backbone or willingness to fight for what they believe in. People that get out and protest like hell ala Wisconsin definitely inspire me.@tfsteefs said:Jeez, if you feel that way about the American left my heart goes out to you. Sure, they're weak, but "disgusting"? I dunno if I'd go that far. I mean, look at the protests that happened in Wisconsin. That shit was inspiring.@Marokai said:1. Kucinich has some backbone. Feingold did too. (note they are Left for America, not the world, I don't want people thinking I can't understand the difference) I guess I have to refer to Kucinich in the past tense given he was redistricted out of existence :(People like Feingold are so few and far between, though.

I'm pretty sure it's been proven that people of french descent are less likely to get heart diseases and that many Asian nationalities have a longer lifespan compared to the rest of the world. You might all assume that question is asking "So is the White Man awesome or what?" But it's more subtle than that and you're not really giving this quiz the respect it deserves.
It's pretty good actually, but some of the questions are a little overly complicated or phrase things oddly so you're not sure what it's asking. Most of the questions relating to communist ideals are somewhat cryptic, and in my experience with this quiz its pretty difficult to get in the top section of the graph. Anyway here's my result:
I've taken this test a few times and it's always within one square of where it was before.
For example, there's a question on if you believe the death penalty should be a viable option for crueler crimes. You can say "no" and it won' t just auto assume "this man is against death." If you say punishment is more important than rehabilitation and generally answer along the line of an atheist then they'll assume you are against the death penalty because you don't believe in Hell and therefore believe killing a serial killing is "getting them off easy." In addition to this, depending on your answers the quiz will assume your alternate to the death penalty is either permanent prison sentence or some form of labor camp that gives back to the community that they committed a crime against.
Not to mention whether or not you're racist has no affect on your political party. You can be a democrat and hate races just as much as republicans or libertarians.
