I think it's fine.  Look, the guy loves the game and he didn't fully realize what it would be like to retire.  Now he's coming back while he still can.  Whatever.

I have lost a lot of respect for Brett Favre the past couple of years.  He's become a selfish attention whore.

He did retire earlier this year, but he wants to come back and play again.

He was a great quarterback and I respect what he did for the game. This is coming from a Bears fan. But he just needs to retire, I'm tired of hearing about it everyday on ESPN.

He should come back only if the Packers want him back.  Too many great players end their careers with the wrong team... think Joe Montana as a Chief, Emmitt Smith as a Cardinal, and Jerry Rice as a Seahawk or Raider... whatever team he was on last.

Brett Favre as anything other than a Packer is just wrong.

I wouldn't take it that far, he was good, no doubt. But you know what they say.

But then what would ESPN talk about 23 hours a day?

Think of the media please.

i do, its starting to hurt his image severely. he is losing a lot of respect. sure a lot of you will defend him , but look around, many are agreeing with me so its obvious its definitely hurting his image. people think he's going nuts. everyone knows its tough to retire from a sport you love and are great at, but thousands have done it before him so it cant be that difficult.

He has lost a lot of my respect. I think if he avoided all this drama, I would have no problem with him coming back for another year.

He is overrated.

I kinda want to see him in Vikings purple just for the hell of it... hey if the Packers don't think Farve is good enough to beat out Aaron Rodgers for the starting QB... then it shouldn't be a problem even if it's to a division rival

He'll probably be added in the d/ed rosters for Madden 09. After all, he was reinstated this morning.

I don;t necessarily want him to retire, but man do i want the "Brett Farve" saga to end. Everyday I have to hear more and more crap about a story i honestly don't care for. I watch Pardon The Interruption pretty much every day and all they do is lead with Farve.  I hope where ever Brett Farve ends up playing he Blows ass, so this story becomes that much more pointless.

I think that if he wants to play the game, and he's still good, then let the man play. Giving up something you've been doing for 17 years is hard. However, I do think that if he's not up to it skill-wise, then he should retire, or whatnot. I love Brett Favre. He's put a lot into the game, and is a shining example that age doesn't matter when you're meant to play the game, but you gotta stop sometime.
