GB Last of Us Clan?
Please mention Giant Bomb and add me, ookamiwarrior. I'll likely play the entire single player before touching multiplayer, but it looks great.
@drewmaw Dude, you overlooked me! My PSN is A-E-Martin
So I just got my copy earlier today, and when I went to check out how the multiplayer clan system works, I was given the choice between 2 factions. (I exited before choosing) A "Hunter" side, and another faction which represents the Fireflies (a militia group). I assume for this clan to work, we'd all need to be on the same faction. So maybe it'd be a good idea to decide among each other what faction we'd all go with?

Huh interesting. We can have a poll on what faction to go with ?

What are the main differences between to the two clans for people who haven't got the game yet?
I'm most likely going to be 100% addicted to the multiplayer for the next 5 months. It happens every damn time Naughtydog releases a new game.
My PSN ID is: Live2bcool

This poll needs to happen soon, haha. I'm grabbing this game is something like 17 hours.
@sunbrozak: Did it say anything about clans before this option or is it basically going to be how you will pay online?
Also, we should all try and make a poll soon. As in maybe today.
Go ahead and put my PSN ID on the page, I"ll be picking it up on Friday
The ID is DuskDarkflame
Don't judge me I made that account when I was 12 years old on xbox live and it stuck
Here's to hoping that we can change screen-names when transferring to PS3
I'm interested in seeing what the multiplayer offers, so if there is room put me down.

It's hard to describe. I went back to it, and decided to pick the Firefly side. (it should be noted that when given the choice, it told me that you would be given the option of picking a faction again, if your clan died out or your clan "won")
Then strangely enough, I was given the option to make the friends on my facebook account, my survivors. Now while I idle on the multiplayer menu, it will notify me with such things as "-friend's name- needs more rations". Almost as if there's a sim element. Perhaps I'm missing something, but I don't even know how you would go about making a clan full of online players.
EDIT:
Well, it looks like my suspicion was right. Clans are specific to the player, and the clan count is actually made up of survivors who you gain more of by collecting materials in multiplayer. Eurogamer has more info on it.
"Each player begins with a clan of five people chosen from one of two clans: the Hunters and the Fireflies. Clans are specific to each player, so you don't share responsibilities and everyone has their own off-screen virtual survivalist group to cater to. As you succeed in the multiplayer, your clan will grow. More people means more mouths to feed, more shelter to maintain, and more illnesses to treat before they spread throughout the encampment."
@sunbrozak: I understand what it's saying. Just going to have to look at the game tomorrow to see what it fully means. I guess adding everyone just to the friends list and then playing games that way may work, but ima need to check out the game first to fully understand it.
This game reminds me of Gears of War 1 in a good way. Love to play with people with mics and a tendency for strategy.

so what we going to do ? since the auto save bug has been fixed i am going to play some multiplayer to see how it works

Yeah, you're right. I played MP for the first time last night, and was shocked that the "clan" concept is merely that, a concept, an abstract representation of your performance. I have to say, this wording use of "clan" is tantamount to false advertising.
There is NO clan support for this game. Sad.
Furthermore, there's no way to create private parties, from what I've seen. You can create private matches, but you can't create a party and play with them. I'm utterly shocked.
@drewmaw: However, we could do a game night or something and go through the list of users we got for this game.

totally. I will continue to update the list, and we can certainly create a tight knit group of people to play private matches with, but needless to say, I'm pretty bummed we can't party up and/or create a clan of buddies to rebuild civilization with. Super bummed.
@drewmaw: I been purposely not following the game so that didn't really bum me out, but having "clans" in it but not real clans is odd. But I'm down for private matches.
