So there aren't going to be unicorns. But Turn10 is still going to have the ability to gift cars for things.

We don’t have a list of cars that we are holding back – cars that you can only get by doing something specific in game – yet we will still be able to gift cars to the community. The cool thing is, by putting more value on each of the cars in the game, essentially any expensive car in the game will have real value and exclusivity. Going forward we will still have lots of opportunities for players to win gift cars via community contests and, as you’ll find, some of these prize cars will be truly amazing

They've "normalized" money earning. It's based on miles per driven in a car and difficulty modifiers. Also they added affinity to that equation.

Average in game price of a car is 60,000. Experienced Drivers will be able to earn that in 15 min, 30 for the less experienced. The 250 GTO and Lotus E21 are the most expensive at 6 mil.

If I understood the post correctly Token prices are now equal to in-game credit price. So that 1250 credits you are getting for the Limited Edition is worth 1250 in game credits. Those 1250 tokens are being touted as a $9.99 value. So that 6 million dollar car is going to take you 25 hours to earn at the experienced end or $48,000. The math is right, but that doesn't seem right. I've responded to the post to verify.

They want the pricier cars to feel more exclusive. I hope that works out with no auction house, no storefronts, and the token thing.

EDIT: So in past interviews it has been said that the1250 tokens you get with the Limited Edition is enough to buy any car in the game. We don't have a direct conversion yet. Hopefully that clears that up
