The guys did a livestream of both MS's and Sony's press conferences from Gamescon last year, is this happening again this year?
Haven't really heard anything about it, but I haven't listened to this weeks podcast yet.

Are you sure they did a livestream / opened chat for gamescom? Because I can't remember gamescom press conferences ever having been broadcast.
I know they did one for Sony last year, that was where the "great" camera work was that made Brad burst out laughing. I dunno about Microsoft though.
Here it is, in fact! http://www.giantbomb.com/videos/watch-us-watch-the-sony-gamescom-press-conference/2300-7849/
I have no idea if they are doing it again this year.
You're totally right, I forgot about that one. And I just checked the PlayStation blog, they're streaming it again this year. I could see them doing a reaction stream again, but I doubt they'd do one for Microsoft since their press conference is at like 5 in the morning on the West Coast. Maybe Giant Beast could do it.
I think the only conference that they could realistically watch is Sony's , which is 10AM their time. Microsoft would be 5AM and EA is 1AM wednesday, so those would be out of question. I really hope they have a chance to do Sony's, as their press conference commentaries are awesome.

The MIcrosoft one wasn't Gamescom it was a special event at Redmond. I think they only did them because the new systems were being announced, and other than some Quantum Break stuff neither of the conferences seem all that interesting this year.
Sony is saving all their JRPGs for TGS and Microsoft already revealed everything
Pretty sure during or after E3 Jeff said the reception for their press conference streams has been very positive so they'll probably do more in the future.
maybe for sony, the MS conf is very early for them i think it is 1 pm bst = 5 am pst so i think GB is sleeping then ( or maybe brad is still playing dota2 at that time)
Yeah, as others have mentioned, due to timezones the Sony conference is the only one they can realistically do.
I hope GBeast do their own competing commentary of the Sony press conference. Dual live streams on the chat page which people can choose between.

Oh, this cold war has already been raging for years now. We're just warming it up...
@thehurtbear: Microsoft is really late at night for them; so, it looks like Sony is the only one at a mildly reasonable hour.
It's around 5am in California and the Xbox conference is starting.
@truthtellah: Ah yes, timezones. Thanks.
@takenbytrees: Yeah, that'd be nice for us who are up, but alas..
Yo guys, there coming first to console... if you didn't know. I can see that getting old real fast. Sounds like the Microsoft dude is reading from the Steam.
@takenbytrees: Aye, chat'd be nice.
Excited to see Ghost of a Tale getting closer to release. They said first on console, so hopefully that means I can just ignore the xbox and get it on PC just like all the other game they've shown so far.

Yeah, I think that's the problem both Sony and Microsoft have. I'm not sure exclusives are enough, they're both taking on indies (which is great) but I think I'd always prefer them on PC because of mod support and so on.
Wonder how much Microsoft paid to get Tomb Raider exclusive, seems like an odd business deal for Square to make. Hopefully a PC version will still hit.
Ha! Already people speculating that it's going to be a short timed exclusive by what he said, I missed what he said exactly but that seems the way of things these days.
Digging Quantum Break though.
I hope this doesn't lead to some sort of game of oneupmanship between Sony and Microsoft with them both buying up random 3rd party exclusives. I thought we'd moved past this shit.
I don't think Sony really needs to, it's Microsoft that needs to sell more consoles right now so I'd actually expect more.
Shame if Tomb Raider is actually exclusive and not just timed exclusive. I would've liked to have played it.
No way that game isn't coming to PS4 and PC (in fact I'd bet PC version is out at the same time it hits Xbox One). Square Enix would be insane to not release it elsewhere... games ain't cheap.
