    Gears of War 3

    The third and final installment in the Marcus Fenix trilogy. Taking place on the apocalyptic planet Sera, 18 months after the ending of Gears of War 2, players will once again take control of C.O.G. soldier Marcus Fenix as he takes on the Locust threat and their Lambent rivals.

    A bunch of new Gears of War Screenshots popped up on the internet and I was curious as to what you guys think. Do these screens look enticing and new or is it just more Gears of War? 
     I didn't feel like uploading them all so you can view them here.

    At least some of this stuff originally appeared in that GameInformer issue recently.

    I swear the lady Gear looks WAY more like Bernie Mataki from the Gears' books than Anya. To be honest, I'd much rather have her by my side rather than Anya. Other than that, looks good. Can't wait to get my hands on it next Spring!!
      
    P.S - I still haven't made all the way through yet in Jacinto's Remnant[the second Gears book], so if something bad does happen to Bernie, please don't mention it. Much appreciated.

    Just noticed something - The very first screenshot in that post, where everyone is posing for the camera with their guns... What is Cole holding? Is it a new weapon or have I just lost complete memory of Gears 2 and can't remember it?

    That's called the One-Shot. Seems to be like a heavy sniper rifle. 
     
    Also on topic, I for one like the sleeveless armor, it shows that there is no longer a C.O.G, but instead Stranded and that everyone is more like a brotherhood than a team.  
     
    Hence the "Brothers To The End" at the end of the reveal trailer.
