March 27th marks the release date of the new DLC for Gears of War 3 dubbed Forces of Nature. Be enthralled by the brand new selection of maps brought you by the one and only Cliffy B and his team at Epic games. For only 800 Microsoft Points (or free if you purchased the Season pass) you can get this DLC. Forces of Nature will add five new weapon skins from the start such as the Red and Blue MLG themed 'Major League' and the Cliffy B flavored, tuttie-fruttie UltraViolet Skin. There will be two unlockable skins tied to achievements, which there are ten new achievements packaged with the DLC.

The three new levels Aftermath, Artillery and Cove are some of the best yet. All have enough space to set up suitable vatange points, but have plenty of cover for frantic up close Gears of War action. The three new maps feauture elemental effects that may alter the firefight, such as an earthquale or a quick tsunami. Re-done versions of Jacinto and Raven Down come included, both are as good as ever. These are all available on both Horde and Beast modes, and if you have the time and the know-how you can find and utilize the brand new 'Elemental Cleavers'. These melee weapons come packed with the power of electricity or fire and add a new layer of fun to Horde mode. You also can't forget the additions of Commando Dom and Mechanic Baird, and the brand new Savage Hunter and Savage Grenadier.

If you're a season pass holder, it's a no brainer to get this for free, but if you're just now jumping into the action this DLC is one of the better ones. Sure you don't get a brand new single player like in 'RAAM's Shadow' but you do get three great levels for a rather good price.

My recommendation is to not miss out on this one.
