I'm not gung ho on how all this looks, but that Revolver video over on the Gamespot YouTube is pretty dang good, and I never would have seen it otherwise, so I guess it's not all bad.

I’m cool with this, if I had a problem with giving out a little info, a little data, a little footprint of who I am to marketing and advertising overlords I woulda stopped using Gmail and amazon a long time ago. That's where I stopped as well. Not a fan of contests that want you to inflate a companies numbers. I could click everything and subscribe to everything, but in the end, I only come to giantbomb for giantbomb content.

Its not Rories fault this is gross it's CBS but its gross. Jeff needs to be reminded he's wrong, if something is gross you speak up you don't ignore it.

Agree, but business is business. Maybe after the Viacom merger there is a new person in a suit looking at return on investment for site expenditures and determining that GB isn't pulling their weight. This would jive with the 30 day free trial promo as well. No doom and gloom for GB just yet, but both TheDissolve.com and DeadSpin come to mind.

It definitely feels like a change, but as long as the duders can keep doing videos and editorial their way does it matter? I don't think Jeff would ever put himself, or the site he built, in jeopardy of being fully compromised editorially.

I have no problem with Giant Bomb piggy-backing on this. Would prefer a give-away that is based on GB rather than the entire CBI-Viacom family. It comes down to personal preference.

As someone who can't justify the upfront cost of a PS4 or Switch, I'll happily enter. The funny thing, is I have absolutely no need for a Xbox One.

Giant Bomb barely advertises and the one time they do they have a give away that you are NOT required to take part in and people complain........ Why would you complain about a giveaway that you DON'T have to take part in.....no one is forcing you to click anything but you want to because you want free stuff but you don't want to help support the site......

Not a fan of dancing for marketers in exchange for a 1/1000 chance of winning something.

Anyone else get a google security alert saying Sideqik has access to their google account? I this something to be worried about? How do I stop them from having this?

@sombre: I have, and their ads are non intrusive and on topic. It's a lot less than most sites so my point still stands.

I remember when Rich Gallup said we should call out Giant bomb when something we didn’t agree with . This is me calling them out. This is a bit shitty. I’m not happy :(
