Picked up the game in a Humble sale and without knowing found that it included the remastered first game too.

Any Bombers know how much worth there would be playing Resurrection before diving into God Eater 2?

I know that they are both quite long games so it seems like it would be a shame not playing the first if it heavily ties into the second, likewise it would be also be a shame to sink a lot of time onto a game that isn't as good for a long time for the sake of a tiny bonus item or a cut scene.

I can see articles mention that the remaster/remake of the first game now ties into the sequel more than the PSP version did and elements of the sequel have been retroactively fitted to it to improve the gameplay overall. However, I can't seem to find specifics on how much. I'd ask Jason but he seems really busy to be bothered by such trivia.
