Overview
Golf Solitaire is a variant of the traditional Solitaire game which has seven columns of five cards, all face up. Players then flip over the top card of the remaining deck. A card can be placed from the table and on to the discard pile if it is one number up or one number down from the current top discard. Only cards which are not overlapped by another card.
Variations
There are other variations on the default table set up. One of the most popular variants is called Tri-Peaks which has the cards arranged in 3 pyramid shaped piles.
Many video games play with the variations of the way the cards are arranged on the table. These games will often arrange them in to shapes that tie in to the background or theme. These games will also often have power ups, or special cards.
