Gran Turismo Sport Live Stream NOW.
@devil240z: is this just a chappy escorts-like stream? What is the driving like? Is it same old Gt or is it going down the Horizon route? Watching the stream but not really saying anything.....

What does horizon route mean? isn't that an open world game? I don't get why people keep trying to make this comparison...
In my honest not rose colored opinion it seems like they made GT Academy into a full game. But it has been mentioned that the game will have a Single player career and arcade mode along side the FIA sanctioned online racing leagues.
@devil240z: the horizon comment for me anyway is a more laidback less serious route. After what you've said and watching the stream though it kinda just looks like Gran Turismo: e-sports edition. Pity :(

Yeah pretty much. Except for me its a good thing.
@devil240z: all I feel Gt needs is better engine noises, a damage model, get rid of the bloat (non premium cars, 52 mx-5 models etc.) and it's a day 1 buy.

Well they seem to have done that last one. But yeah ive been saying for years that they need to take all the legacy content and shoot it in the head and start fresh. All the holdovers from GT4 are weighing the series down and giving fuel to haters.
How much of that is a licensing issue, though? Having a digital showroom of all a manufacturer's cars would probably get Digital Polyphony a gold star. Maybe its part of the contract they agree to?
I wonder if the deals they made back on the PS1 which stipulated that there would be no visual damage to cars was in effect until recently? Maybe they used old assets for so long because if they created new ones they would have to make new deals with the car manufacturers. IDK sounds a little far fetched but who knows.
@dbdanny16: You can probably expect that, dont know if you missed it but they said on the stream that the build was about 50% completed, I believe they have enough time to make substantial changes. Either way il be satisfied, Im more interested about the simulated handling which imo is the pretty spot on when it comes to the franchise.
Was this their first big gameplay reveal, or have I missed something? I feel like I must've done, because, skimming my way through, this looked (and sounded) extremely poor and anticlimactic. Plus, the whole presentation style was about as cringeworthy as the Halo e-sports thing.
@newfangled: they live streamed a tournament on GT sport.
Oof, that was rough. I like(d) GT, but it seems they haven't really moved up apart from better graphics (although it doesn't seem on the same level as a Forza or Project Cars console version). The sounds are still very underwhelming and the driving doesn't seem to be that great this time around?
