As of right now, only the title has been released, and that it has a own game play. What are your thougthts of how the game will be? What use will the dual Screen have?
I have a feeling its going to be a birds eye view game, like the original GTA. The touch Screen is going to use to select items to use in missions. With Text no voice acting. Perhaps some wi-fi for some type of exclusive stufff.

Thoughts of how it will be.
"I predict it will be something similar to Zelda / Animal Crossing in terms of birds eye view but with 3D graphics.I hope your right. I really like that idea. I acually have some hope the game is good. It is being made by Rockstar, and I dont think they would just make a game to make a buck.
"
I hope it isn't like the original GTA games with the 2D, since I can't really play those anymore after experiencing the 3D GTA games. It might like the mini-game in Liberty City Stories that was a parody of Smash TV, where the graphics were the same, but it was sort of above-head, and the camera was at like a 45 degree angle from the ground. That would be fine with me.

I know the 2D may seem outdated, but a bad 3D game would suck too. I spent a lot of time on the 2D games and I can say that they are definatly better than the PSP games.

I'd rather have a well-done 2D GTA than a shoddy 3D one."I hope it isn't like the original GTA games with the 2D, since I can't really play those anymore after experiencing the 3D GTA games. Is rockstar even going to develop this?
Unless they somehow get the GTA formula to work on the DS i think this game will tank
At first I was really worried because of the previous hardcore attempts on the DS: Burnout & Resident Evil both legendary fails on the DS.
But after seeing what they're doing with it, this could be just as (relatively) good as any other GTA. They aren't trying to cram a ps2 style GTA onto the DS. That would've been a disaster. The style is classic (though updated; 3D version of the 2D style) for GTA and will work on the DS. The minigames look like they were also built with mobile gamers in mind. They even recreated my favorite cell phone game of all time: Dope Wars.
This could very well end up being the best hardcore DS game if they're able to keep with the ingenuity and keep within the limits.
