The first game in the second saga of the Halo sci-fi series has the Master Chief awakening from cryostasis as he explores the mysterious Forerunner shield world Requiem, fights a newly-formed Covenant group, and accidentally awakens an ancient evil.
I turned them on because I was having some audio balance issues when you start actually having other characters to listen to, and yeah, they looked so bad that I decided I'd rather take the chance of not hearing them.
I guess with such a popular title people have to find something to complain about in the end. They aren't the best sub-titles I've ever seen, but...meh?
I would have thought after Reach we probably wouldn't see the ugly yellow subtitles again, but they're back and they're sort of disheartening to see. I'd wager a guess that the fact they're using them is because white subtitles and possible other colours would get too easily lost when there's lots of the same colour on screen.

Maybe so, but they could have used pink, orange, or rainbow-colored subtitles.
