Listening to last night's E3 podcast I noticed there was some confusion as to what CE Anniversary's multiplayer component actually entails. People keep saying that the multiplayer maps "run on the Reach engine," but to put it simply, the game comes with more maps for Halo: Reach. 343 did not rebuild the netcode from CE's original multiplayer and instead chose to support the Reach community with some classic Halo remakes.

As far as I know you will be able to play only those 7 new maps using the Anniversary disc or you can download the maps in order to play them via Reach as if it was DLC.

Which is cool, that's what I expected, and wanted.

It's a way to breathe life into Reach and if 343 patches the game when the new maps come out that will be great.
