Probably yeah, I think it's just there as a bullet point. Basically if you have your Kinect on, you can use it. I imagine that there's other little things you'll be able to do for this game.

From what I'm led to believe, when the Kinect is on, it handles audio processing for voice commands as opposed to the box handling it itself.

It's not really news though, it's just showing of a feature. I usually love Patrick's articles but this one seems slightly derived and unnecessary.

I'm only half joking there. I don't have a problem with the feature or with Kinect, but it's true that whenever I'm watching a movie Kinect has a tendency to react like an overly dependant puppy and pop up a window tracking my hands whenever I reach for a drink or whatever. They had the right idea early on with giving it a codeword... I'm just not sure that "Xbox" was the right choice there.

So of course the real question is do you have to say "Xbox Classic" or just "Classic", the world needs to know Patrick!

Most of the people I know who (like myself) love Dance Central love it because they (like myself) love real dancing.
Annnd Dance Central has the benefit of people enjoying watching you dance for score and laughs.

My point exactly, you can't really do it anywhere. I've played some DC but as someone who sat in on the Harmonix panel (filled with people who give a lot of shit(s) about RB3 and DC) there were a large number of people who (like myself) can in no way, shape, or form justify getting a Kinect. Even if they (like myself) enjoy dancing.

They better turn on voice control for us Aussie Kinecters already...been a year almost and still no voice control what a ripoff.Halo is gonna rock!

So in other words since the Kinect features are not hand waggling, the result is the only other function the Kinect seems to do, that being accepting auto input that the headset could accept just as well...

I think the next DBZ game needs this kind of Kinect integration. Just saiyan...

i absolutely hate how a first-party (?) Xbox game has Kinect support. ridiculous.

this seems like a fun feature if you want to annoy a room mate or something. just yell REMASTERED all the time while he's playing it.

@Kordesh: The Kinect has voice recognition hardware. The Xbox by itself does not and the the processing time that it takes to only do it software would have a negative impact on the other shit your doing, like running a game.

I am aware the headset is in fact garbage. I'm also aware that the Kinect assists with voice recognition. My question is if End War (garbage game aside) was able to competently use voice commands via the headset, I don't see why the same couldn't be done in this case.

I laugh at all you people saying "I could just press a button." With Kinect, developers can have Kinect voice commands function as another button, and use the buttons on the controller to do something else, allowing a player to do more things. The other way to increase functionality is to load the controller up more buttons. (or keep the same buttons and decrease functionality)

No two games are made equal, also what kinda developer wants to devote that kinda time working on voice recognition? It's not worth it, and only reasonable if it's a part of the hardware, which kinect provides.

What if you're talking to your friend while playing, and you keep mentioning classic, and remastered.

Can't say I agree with the idea that 3D or Kinect make something better without changing it, but as long as this stuff's optional I'm still happy.

If I could just say CLASS ASSAULT - while playing Call of Duty instead of going through the menus to choose it mid-match then I'd love that feature. I think these sort of commands are exactly what Kinect would be great at - alleviating having to go through menus and getting pulled out of the game.

Also being able to toggle ammo types or grenade types instead of accessing your inventory sounds great to me too.
