Seems like a fairly simple ability for higher-level force users. If Yoda can use the force to lift an x-wing out of a swamp shouldn't he be able to pick up his own light form and levitate?
@SuperBuster: I'm willing to bet if George Lucas gets a good idea for a toy we'll see it, and we'll also get the hidden backstory of how the rebel alliance created the empire so the empire could create the rebel alliance.
I remember him using it once or twice, I'm sure he did it in the Clone Wars cartoon on Cartoon network once (not sure if its canon ofcourse, who the fuck knows!).

It was more of a glide. Vader and the Emperor were able to do it too in SW Battlefront 2 as their double-jump ability. I'm not sure how cannon any of that is either.

Yes, Jedi can fly. One of the masters was a dark jedi called Maw. It is also true that Dooku cannot fly, that is another power of levitation, so, no actual flight there. Might i suggest the already linked Wookiepedia article for further information. I agree its hard to tell the difference between gliding and flying, but the only Jedi iv heard of with real "flight" ability was Maw.
Yoda could jump really high in a couple of the prequels, so that's probably the closest you're going to get to seeing something like that. No clue about expanded universe stuff.
