17 Brown Lies never leaves my MP3 player, as it ended up being far better than I expected it to be, and is one of the few albums I can listen to all the way through. I like their other albums as well, but due to some skippage, not quite as much as the first.

I remember listening to quite a bit of midnight brown playing though parts of metroid prime 2. Good times.
...and yes, i miss the SAS too. In the can butterfly remix..... now that's a filthy classic.

And for the record, that chick was better in the brilliant green. Even tommyheavenly6 is better, perhaps, not that the february stuff was completely terrible either.

Midnight Brown is awesome! I currently think their debut album "17 Brown Lies" was the best one that I listened to. However, what's been released of "Deadly Electric" sounds really good (*I'm listening to now*).

My faves: Loadest Kids, President of the mall, Deadly Electric, future robinhood, 28 hours a day, Let's do it (undercover), go! go! vietnam, gravyrobbers, baristacratic, I'm a god, Call 'em like you see 'em, army of tom f. wilsons, (i broke) the stool, where were you on the night that your conscience caught up with you?, 24OPEN, Like their gonna write a song about it, submarine club

(Bold = songs I Really like)

Buying directly from Amazon JP is usually on par with or slightly cheaper than Amazon US's import prices. The first prints of the albums (which come with DVDs) are pretty much long gone, though.

Totally almost blew way too much money on last-minute airfare and hotel a couple of years ago to go see her perform live. Caught myself at the last minute and realized that it wasn't worth $3000 or whatever to see a lady lip-synch.

Oh, who am I kidding? I totally should have gone.

so when you re-created the song, did you redo the music, or did you use the same music from the original song?

I've started listening to Kiss One More Time more now. It is really good actually, not sure why I didn't care for it at first.

Anyways, here's some of Midnight Brown's live performances:

Here's a Midnight Brown facebook group I made ages ago for all who are down with the Brown.
I totally love this band, there's nothing quite like it out there and the strange universe wherein these songs take place intrigue me ever so much.

First album was funny and great at the same time. After that, not so much.
The best one is SPACE TRUCKER.

Has anyone heard the crazy conversation about the guy with the eye patch and churning butter in a motorcycle?

Kiss One More Time bein a cover pretty much changes everything I thought I knew about-.. Asian pop songs.

I downloaded all their songs and while profane, they ROCKED!!! Jeff seems to be good whatever music he does.

I've listened to Midnight Brown and really like them although all my friends think I'm crazy.
Also what genre would you put them under (not that it matters but I've given it a thought or two when I'm listening to them)

wow, I never realised Kiss One More Time was a cover, was always confused as to why they had gone with Japanese song lyrics, now I know.

Also, shame on you all, only one person giving love for A Filthy Classic? Ronseal song (does what it says on the tin). Love 2084, Robot Vampire, In Panama and Go! Go! Vietnam and Hey Piper.

Deadly Electric is the most important unfinished album since The Beach Boys' SMiLE. Here's to a slightly faster resurrection of the electric.
