    Major John Cage went to stop Ryan Lorenz personally when he switched sides and started fighting on the Na'vi side. John Cage confronted Ryan under the Tree of Souls, and gave him last chance to disconnect from the avatar body. Ryan refused the offer and killed Major Cage.

    Major John Cage also makes an appearance in the mobile game where the main protagonist is Jake Sully. Jake Also fights John Cage near the Tree of Souls.
