    This is genius on Microsofts behalf. That being said, call me old school or what have you but I REALLY do not want motion controls to be the future of gaming as I love my controller just fine. And Oprah having Kinect on her show is not helping my cause in motion control gaming going away.

    C'mon you know how TV works. You don't get to see the break where the producer comes out and tells them to go bananas.
     
    My mom asked about Kinect after seeing it on Oprah. She even knew the price, but was a little shocked once I got into the details of the cost of the console, games and XBL. 
     
    I refer to her Wii and her one game for it and ask, who exactly is Kinect for? Casual gamers..who don't own a Wii maybe? Seems like a small market.

    I remember her endorsing the movie Australia, that didn't exactly light up the box office. But we shall see what happens here.

    Sure, Oprah plugged it, so what. Now that the middle aged woman demographic is into it, they'll just watch the view a week after its release and it'll get critically panned. And thus the wave will end.

    kinect is gonna sell because of the gimmick. its probably the easiest thing to advertise and people will buy it. "Controller free gaming" thats all they need. dance central is still the only thing im interested in though.
