According to a rumor from the latest OPM , Kingdom Hearts III is currently in development as a PS3 exclusive and will be announced at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.

I think that Sqaure Enix will also make it for the 360, since they are making FFXIII for the 360. They realize it won't sell  enough on the PS3...."

I really doubt just because of the FF games, and the 3 spinoffs.
Even if in development, they aren't giving their full focus so it'll still be a while. I'm sure Nomura wants as many people to play Birth By Sleep and Coded, and 358/2 Days.
They contain a lot of info on characters and history of the Kingdom Hearts Universe before he really continues Sora's story.

That would be terrific news, but I'll believe it when I see it...

Ow well, I am still excited for the game.

I was vastly disappointed with the second installment, so I doubt I'll do anything but rent the third one.

As a gamer, you should want all games to go multiplatform if it can still maintain platform health.

I'm a 360 owner, but I'd say I am a Kingdom Hearts fan before a fan of a console.  Granted, I have a Ps3 as well, but still- think about what you're saying.
Honestly, I got a ps3 like 6 months ago.  I'm a kingdom hearts fan.  Why would you deny a kingdom hearts fan his game based on the console he owns?

It wouldn't surprise me to see this go multiplatform, because that just means more money in Square's undeserving pockets.
I guess Kingdom Hearts is ok from a gameplay perspective, but the story is just a bunch of stupid melodramatic garbage just like every other Square game involving androgynous males, the only difference is that it has disney characters which makes it creepy.
