GT has a new Lara Croft & The Guardian Of Light trailer, and I must say, it's looking quite good. Action looks fast, and hopefully there are still a lot of puzzles even with the top down perspective. Bosses look cool too.If it's around 10-15 bucks, its looking quite promissing. Here's the trailer, what do you think?

If I can't see her boobs well, I'm simply not going to buy the game because of the camera angles.

Controls are everything in a Tomb Raider game.  I'll have to wait for some more hands-on previews before I decide anything.

Eugh. I'm going to guess that the controls are going to be a nightmare, what with the kind-of-sometimes-isometric-but-not-really perspective.

I'mma be agreeing with Rhaknar. Looks pretty awesome, and co-op mode is a massive plus.

So, why did they call this a Tomb Raider game? Had the opportunity to make a great new IP, but now everyone is going to be stuck on the fact this 'Isn't a Tomb Raider game! Why did they do this to the series?????' and so on. What a failed business model Eidos/Square Enix has.

As a fan of the Legend/Anniversary/Underworld trilogy, this wasn't really on my radar, but this trailer has certainly piqued my interest. The combat segments reminded me a little of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, but that's ok by me. These games have never been about the combat, so if they've streamlined and simplified it to that degree then I think it could work really well. Like the OP, I'm intrigued to see some puzzle-based gameplay, but it looks like this might have me buying some Microsoft points for the first time in a while.

In addition, to all those who seem to think this is a step too far in rebooting the franchise, I'm pretty sure Crystal Dynamics said recently that this isn't really a Tomb Raider game (hence it not being part of the title), and that a "proper" Tomb Raider sequel is also in the works.

It looks alright, but what the eff' is up with Lara's Voice Actor? She sounds like a middle aged Woman, shouldn't it be a young sounding feminine voice??

by the way, just in case someone didn't realise, this will be a XBLA / PSN game (why I think some of the harsh comments are...well...harsh)

At first I thought this was a full game, not a PSN/XBLA release. For what it is, I think it looks pretty good. I would like a good Tomb Raider Game. Legend was good, Underworld was disappointing.

It's not called Tomb Raider. We dropped the TR name and called it 'Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. This is separate from TR. Crystal Dynamics are working on two games at the moment and LCGoL isn't the next TR ;)

Instead this is a digital download for XBLA/PSN/Steam and it'll be around $15. You'll get a good 6+ hours out of it too. There have been some really favourable hands-on previews on places like kotaku and d'toid. Eurogamer are also positive about it.

    Hope that helps a bit.
