my freind thinks that left 4 dead 3 would be cool if the survivors from the first and the second left 4 dead met up and so there would be 8 survivors. i think its a crap idea. what do you all think.
Left 4 Dead 2
Game » consists of 10 releases. Released Nov 17, 2009
In the sequel to Valve's cooperative zombie shooter, a new team of four ragtag survivors must work together to survive the apocalypse, facing new Infected threats as they fight their way across the Southern United States.
left 4 dead 3 ideas??
I think it would be nice if we could pick which survivors we wanted to play as. IE: Not only the four they make for the game. But that would require alot of VA work. Still, Everyone would be able to make their dream team L4D team then.
my 4 survivors would be nick, coach, louis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and ellis. i also like the idea of left 4 dead in china. nice one icySandman
"L4D3:ChinaI like it
1,325,639,982 People in China, that would be pretty messed up. "

Yes
And I would multiple routes to every mission, not just going left or right but maybe going a longer/ safer route or maybe a short, wicked tough route.
They definitely need to go somewhere out of the United States. I think it would be a cool level to be at the place where all the evacuees have been going, then the zombies break through and it's total chaos. Maybe go to some famous landmarks and have them full of zombies.
The final thing I would want to see is have the sections in between campaigns viewable as optional cutscenes or interactive segments to fill in the gaps. Tell me it wouldn't be awesome to be looking out of the side of a helicopter at all of the zombie destruction below, then as the pilot begins to transform into a zombie, having to shoot him. They probably would never do something like this, but I would love to see what goes on in between the campaigns.
I second China, or even Japan would also be cool. I really want something foreign in the idea that it hasn't been done in movies and games over and over. But I'm enjoying L4D2 right now.
License it. Make the third L4D a 28 Days Later game. I just like the idea of having my city of birth as the setting.
28 days later-esque L4D would be crazy! i thought that was a big influence on the original game tbh. i think a license tie in would be bad but a London setting would be intense!
i heard that charlie brooker wanted valve to make a Dead Set DLC for L4D as well,
Hold it off for some time and release half life 2:episode 3.That"s the first thing that comes to my mind.

Oh yeah
I don't see how the survivors are a big deal anyway. If they all met up, who cares? If not, who cares? Valve has taken it upon themselves to make the survivors as lifeless and uninteresting as possible. For example, people like louis because of what he said. As a character, he was an empty sack with a voice.
The only way to make the survivors interesting, without actually making them interesting, would be to give players full control over their identity. If the survivors are gonna be as stereotypical and bland as they are now, let me create my own zombie killing lameass myself. I'll give him an emo haircut, a tie, and a backwards cap. Perfect!
But seriously, customization should be key in L4D by now. Killing zombies with everything being preset is stupid...even for a game that can be modded.
A whole campaign in the far future after world has been conquered by aliens. You only play as one person who doesn't say anything. He wears orange suit and uses a gun does go by the laws of physics.
That would be awesome.
Different setting instead of the USA, Let's get something overseas... Korea, Japan, London, Aussie? Hell, that could be released as DLC... "The fours survivors caught a plane to (enter country) in hopes that the infection had not spread that far..." My friend also mentioned to me earlier about Counterstrike guns. Why not? Valve's made a pretty good weapon selection already, why not add more?
but u meet the old characters in left4dead 2

Rather, you would be be given the choice to euthanize them all before the horde arrives or wait for them to be zombified and then fight the mass horde. Achievements abound!
i'd like to see the other survivors' beam of light from their flashlights and gunfire. that would help to point out certain things and even help light up some of the darker areas. like that sewer scene in the parish where it's pitch black with a ladder in the middle... that was the only time i'd ever felt alone even with all my survivor buddies with me. from an infected viewpoint, when a survivor stands still, their outline disappears, but if they have their flashlight out, that'll help to give away their position too.
i think that would help add some strategy, 'realism', and atmosphere to the game.
...and i'd like to see the third game set in an underwater biodome orphanage.
I believe there should not be a L4D3 not in the near future (at least 3 years), maybe some good expansion pack or DLC, you can really do a lot with both games without the need of a third installment, valve has a good product and a great fan base the must give back to the people, maybe some new modes, a character editor, a ton of new weapons, some new special infected and people would be happy.
this should be Valve's mission. Be able to create characters, and be able to basically create the A-Team" @SuperSecretAgenda said:

Another thing they should consider is just go the full 9 yards and make the most rediculous unlockable scenarios. Like several had said earlier, Renaissance, Hogwarts, etc. Also a place like Vegas, and a place like Times Square would be very interesting, imho
Maybe smaller, less conventional guns, like Nail guns, Crossbows, Tazers, etc.
also a handcannon
:D
DLC is the answer. It's going to be a long time before I'd be interested in another Left 4 Dead game, and honestly, there isn't much more I can think of besides tweaks and extra campaigns that would add anything worthwhile to the formula of the game. If they just keep adding this and that, it kind of ruins the simplistic, streamlined nature of play.

I think it should be an all new cast. In a few years when they are thinking of really doing something with the franchise that's not just a few campaigns and some extra gameplay modes, like adding some real story to it, they would have a more interesting and diverse cast of fictional characters.
Creating your own character would be cool, but Valve doesn't do that kind of stuff. It'd be cool if you can use your 360 Cam to map your face to your character though, like in Rainbow Six Vegas.
A levelling RPG-element would be sweet too. Improved accuracy, health, aid slots, etc. That'd make me feel more attached to my character, methnks.
