PlayStation Version
Tips:
Make sure to pick the right rock raider for the mission you are doing.
Each rock raider has its advantages and selecting the right one can be the difference between frustration and an easy mission.
When using a weapon (tool) you can hold down R2 to lock the direction you are facing. This makes aiming way easier as you can strafe and shoot.
If you fail a mission with the same rock raider several times they will be out of action for a few turns and they will be back in action after you do a few missions or turns with another rock raider.
When controlling vehicles take it slow around narrow passages and only tap the directional pads slightly to get the vehicle to move slowly. Controlling vehicles with the analog stick is not recommended.
Jumping uses a stamina bar that is located at the bottom left. Make sure it is fully charged otherwise your jumps will be shorter and might cause you to miss the jump and land into lava or water.
Watch out for Snails and Slugs! Even though they seem harmless they are by far the most annoying enemy in the game. Upon seeing you they will charge you at high speed and send you flying.
Do not leave any vehicles near them since they will attack any vehicles near them.
Rock Raiders:
- Docs - Has a fully upgraded radar and his shield auto-refills by absorbing energy from the rocks.
- Sparks - Makes the tools better and gets double pickups.
- Axle - Makes vehicles move faster and gives ground vehicles auto-repair.
- Jet - She can jump farther and she makes flying vehicles fly faster.
- Bandit - He can swim (walk over water) and makes the Stone Crusher (the water vehicle) move faster. He walks slower on land.
