Personally I think this sounds outrageously difficult and I can see myself choking during some of the later segments and having an aneurysm. Will you take a crack at it or are you one of the steely eyed individuals who have already succeeded?

A young boy seeks to rescue his lost sister from the dreary, dangerous world of Limbo in this monochrome puzzle-platformer.
Will you attempt a playthrough with less than 5 deaths?
Probably, but I'm not making it a priority. Not just remembering where the traps are and how to get around them, but timing is the one thing that throws me off. The amount of times I leapt into that HOTEL sign when it was lit, I cannot count.
It wasn't too bad to do....my first playthrough of the game took me over 4 hours and I died well over 100 times...I played through it two more times and died 6 times just barely missing the achivement to get it the fourth time and only dying once...now to find all of these secret easter eggs is a challange in itself! There is currently 108~110% is the max (so far), so there's roughly 10 secret eggs...thats with saying beating the game & regular achievements gives you exactly 100%.
Yeah. So far, I've died a few times but each one has seemed easy enough once I worked it out so I should be able to manage it without too much bother.
well that would be really easy once you play through it once and know all the tricks.
you could probably beat it blindfolded without losing one life.
After I get the Braid speed run achievement. That's been bugging me since I got the game last year and I feel that once I learn all the puzzles to the point where I don't mess up I'll be able to beat the game under 45 minutes (youtube shows 32 minutes) and get the achievement. Only after doing that do I think I'll have the patience to attempt this one without dying 5 times.
Realistically, I think the best way to get this achievement is watching someone play the game on youtube. Watch them do it a few steps in front of you and just avoid everything they fell over... Other than that, I finished my second playthrough last night and died far more than five times, even when I knew the soloutions to the puzzles and where the traps were. Sometimes you just can't help it.
I'll probably do it. Do a few practice runs on some of the more timing specific traps/puzzles first and then go for it. Doesn't seem like it would be that bad, really.
I most likely won't. I can see myself dying right at the end 5 times in a row easily, and there's plenty of other areas which I found difficult even once figured out. I think this achievement is like Braids 45 min achievement, not too many people will get it but the rest of both games achievements are very easy to get.
I will give it a go, but the very last puzzle is all about timing, and yeah it is quite hard, so I may have to practice first, the rest of the game seems quite easy now I know what to do.
I have every other achievement, so it's all that stands in the way of an S rank, but I'm not sure that I can afford to smash a bunch of controllers...
I intend to give it a try. I was just running through the game as fast as I could last night to see if I remember what I did to get through each section. Except for one part that I was a little fuzzy on how I got through it I was able to just keep pushing forward without too much trouble However, I still have trouble jumping over bear traps cleanly. I died three times near the beginning due to them, then nearly completed the game without dying again (but didn't have the time to finish at that moment).
At any rate, it is very doable so yeah, I'll be doing it soon.
No, I won't be trying that achievement when I get around to buying LIMBO. The only way it's feasible is to write/type every solution to moving on, like a FAQ.
Little update, took me a couple of days but I just got it done. I would get through 95% of the game and then do something stupid and lose focus or a cat would jump in my lap unexpectedly causing me to drop the controller and fall into a pit. Lots of just dumb mistakes because at this point I know the solutions and the timing. This last run I only died once, at the very end. I rushed myself just a bit and ate sawblade. I'm not going for a zero deaths run though I know I could do it. It's just not worth it for me.
Maybe one day when I eventually feel like it. On the day I bought the game I played through in one sitting, then went back and got all the eggs, and then my plan was to just immediately go for the less than 5 deaths playthrough while the puzzles and level design were still fresh in my mind, but I just couldn't face it, and now, a couple of weeks on, there is no part of me that wants to go through that game again, let alone having to play it with the pressure of limiting myself to 5 lives. Maybe someday...
I made it with 5 deaths untill the 22nd chapter on my second playthrough. Now I can't keep my concentration up for the first half of the game.
It felt very masochistic, but after several attempts throughout the week I s-ranked the game and it felt really good. I think I could actually do the game with zero deaths now.
