    Mallo is a member of the cat-like, blob-like, sumo-like race on which the series is centered. Other notable members include Papa Blox, Poppy, and Corin.

    Mallo is the member of his race least likely to speak, mostly expressing himself through gestures. He wears a training mawashi and is otherwise prone to engaging in serious sumo behavior.
