Hey duders,

Now while I've played all the mass effect games, I've never owned them (except ME3). I've had ME2 in my amazon cart for a few weeks now and realized that they posted a picture of a platinum hits edition shown below:

Now I could not for the life of me find any site talking about this new release. I know ME1 had additional DLC and a bonus disc with special features. So I was just wondering if any of you guys (or girls) knew what this edition came with extra, if it even has extra content?

To my knowledge there is no disc based Mass Effect that contains ALL of the DLC as well (the PS3 copy of ME2 being the exception, it came with a lot of the DLC for free, but I think they still had to buy Arrival and Kasumi). I think in all likelihood it's just a discount ME2 for Xbox.

@SteamPunkJin: for amazon, it was 20 bucks before and after this new edition. it would be a shame if it was just a slightly altered box design

Platinum hits is just their "best seller" version. It's just a new box and discounted

The PS3 version had all dlc except Arrival.

@kermoosh: I was in NYC during the Holidays and I saw the ME2 Platinum Hits at the BestBuys. I checked in the back of the cover to see if it had any DLC like ME1 Platinum Hits but sadly it doesn't have any at all. If they included the DLCs, this version would have been on 3 discs and it's not worth for them on a budget priced version.
