Ok so ive completed the game doing paragon and i was half way through playing him again on renegade. what my question is will the choices i made im my half playthrough get ported over to ME2. or will it just be my finished playthrough?

I would think it would just take your completed save.

I believe the answer is no.  What transfers over is the profile in the save folder, not the saves.  A complete profile is made AFTER beating the game.

No, I don't believe so. If I recall, they said you had to have a save to the point of finished, as to the game telling you its qualified for a New Game+, and that was the way to know if a save is going to be transferable to ME2.

Nope. Only the fully completed save game(aka the one where you finished the game) will be importable.

It will only take your completed save. The levels you've gained or choices you've made from the second game won't count, unless you complete it and then choose to carry over that playthrough.
