hooray! I'm satisfied with Solid Snake's story now, I'm cool with them moving on with a new character if they want. At least it won't be as unexpected as MGS2.

I hope Kojima Productions can continue refining the westernized gameplay system.

I'll only be happy if this new game is called MGS5: Ninja Raiden...I don't want to play as Solid Snake anymore. His story is done to me, but the way they went with Raiden's story really interests me.

I didn't know MGS5 was confirmed.  That is sweet.  Should be interesting to see what direction they go with it.

I wonder if Kojima will ever do anything new.

Yeah I've said Raiden should be the lead since the end of four, the way the story ends it leaves a lot of oppurtunity for him to be needed for duty.

I don't want any other returning cast though really, I think that set of stories is finished and I'd like to hear a new one just set in the same universe.

Quick, someone travel back to 2001 and tell them that gamers in 2008 actually want Raiden to become the new protagonist of the MGS-series. :D

Kind of early for a remake of a game that came out 3 years ago.

It would be kind of cool if they remade the original Metal Gear games. That could work very well... or not so well.

i would like to see MGS5 from Ocelot's p.o.v when he was in the patriots, that way we'll get to see the inner workings of the the Patriots, though the mystery of all that would be removed. Ninja Raiden sounds like a cash cow waiting to happen...

I actually think Raiden's background makes him pretty ripe for a good story.

The other thing I thought would be pretty interesting would be a more squad-style game using Meryl and Akiba.

The post-Patriots world is going to be a very different place that could turn out pretty interesting regardless.

 But I hope the story in dived into two. Set between MGS2 and MGS4, the first part with normal Raiden attempting to save Sunny from the Patriots and the second part with ninja Raiden slicing up some people.

I wish they'd drop the MGS name for 5. After all, Solid Snake is no longer in it so I reckon Metal Gear Raiden would most likely be the best title.
