A trailer went up for a 40th Anniversary update to Flight Simulator, celebrating 40 years of carefully flying through the sky without objectives :P.

Included in the update are a variety of historically significant aircraft, most of which have appeared in previous versions of the sim, and also new types of aircraft including the much awaited gliders and helicopters, the update is apparently free for everyone who owns the game and for players using Game Pass.
Also, as seen at the end of the trailer, they added the Pelican from Halo which is available right now.

I tried to quickly take a Halo inspired shot.

It's a bit of fun, you can switch flight modes between hover and regular flight, very easy to control, it has a CD player inside which plays the Halo theme.

I think the thing i'm most excited for is gliders because there's quite a lot of mechanics and challenge to them, i last flew a glider in Flight Simulator 98 and obviously i was just a kid messing around, i want to seek out thermals and see how far i can fly.
