The sequel to 2007’s wildly successful first-person-shooter Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues the story of American and British soldiers fighting Russian ultra-nationalist forces.

The Prestige edition looks awesome, but many people are saying it will be a waste of money.  What should I do?

I say follow your wallet.  Really, if you have doubts about getting the expensive edition, then it's better off to buy the cheaper one and not potentially regret your decision in the long run.

For me it depends if the CoD Remake comes with the Harden Edition.  (The $70/$80 one.  Don't remember how much it costs.)

I'm 99% sure that the original CoD will come in the metal box. Of course that also comes in the prestige edition as well.

I'll probably just get the regular edition. I really have no need for night vision goggles, although that would be sweet to have.

@StarFoxA: If it was not 150, I would be all over it.  That's a lot for a game.

It really just depends on your opinion of special editions... but on the other hand, $150 isn't your average price point. It's more of a fuckton.

do what you want. Waste your money on toy goggles or get the normal or hardened edition.

@NerdyNinja007: Get the one for $60 unless you have any real need for night vision goggles.

And if you have a real need for NVG's, get the $60 game and save your money for some NOD's that would be worth your dollar.

If you don't feel the need to have Night Vision Goggles, go with the Hardened Edition. You get everything with the Prestige Edition, excluding the Goggles. You get Modern Warfare 2, and the original Call of Duty. Plus the extra goodies that come along with it.

Theres a very simple way to make your choice.

Buy the regular or hardened version to start off with, then in 2 years come back and get the prestige edition for like 100 bucks less. seriously they knock the price down on those things pretty low.

if i had a 360 i could probably get the super special edition of halo 3 with the helmet for around the price of the regular game.

or, of course, just spend 150 bucks and get FREAKING NIGHT-VISION GOGGLES!!!
    ON THE MOON!!
