Depends. If all my friends are online I think we will all go on MP. 
If no one else is doing much then I will go for single player.

Read the manual.  I always read the manual, even if oftentimes it turns out it was useless.  Hopefully they keep it real skinny, like the last one. 

Blast through the single player. I need to dedicate as much time as possible for the MP components. It's kind of unfortunate, it appears that MW2 is coming out a week after I have had a one week break from school. Oh, that Modern Warfare 2. x_x

play the single player and then a little multiplayer

i don't usually play any multilayer until i've played a majority or all of the single player story. its weird but something i have always done with the games i have owned.

E - Not buy it.

Gotta play multiplayer first.

well play the campaign single player mode first, then after that i would play the multiplayer.

Single player, while flicking briefly through the instructions.

Install it, go to the various settings screens and crank everything up to the max.

Play single player until all the server bugs are worked out in multiplayer

E: Probably shower, eat some Kashi: Cinnamon Rush ™ cereal, and relax with some sportscenter. Then, I will likely hop on my computer and check my emails, twitter, and messages. Then, I'll go down, flick on the 360, drop in Modern Warfare 2, and play the Single Player on Veteran.

Midnight release!  DUH!  Yeah, dooder.  The GameStop and Game Crazy down the street from where I work...when Halo 3 came out...had a line about a block and a half long waiting to get the game.  Modern Warfare 2 is projected to be just as big.  They've already got the police scheduled for duty on both locations for the release (especially since Game Crazy and GameStop are right across the street from one another).  My hometown does a TON of midnight release parties for stuff.  We'll find any reason to have fun, celebrate, and act like idiots! "

I will put it into my Xbox 360 and play some singleplayer, then try the multiplayer

I'll stick my dick into the middle of the CD and play the game in the proper way.

Definitely single player. I never have the balls to jump into single player immediately since multiplayer usually always has me on edge so I'll just relax with some single player and get myself accustomed to the gameplay again before checking out the multiplayer offerings.
