When i hear of a game in the bombcast and i don't know of it i usually look it up this week it being Musha. Jeff having said it not being "not a great game" i had low expectations of the result of my search but to my own amazement i could find nothing but praise about this game. Shmups are one of the most misunderstood genres out there. It doesn't matter if you've been gaming for 30 years or if you started with the PS2, you can just as easily "get" or "not get" them. My favorite complaint against the genre is that the games are too short, which stems from people just credit feeding straight through and not bothering to actually play them like arcade games (playing for score or going for a 1CC or 1LC).

I absolutely love Compile's shmup designs, so I'm pretty gay for Aleste 2, Zanac and MUSHA. The badass music and graphics in the game are just icing on the cake. Bonus points for not being too difficult to finally hammer down a 1LC.

Now if only we could get them to throw up some Truxton and Slap Fight.....
