New Star Manager has a simple tag line, be more than just a player. It mixes in game action with all the things expected in a management game without drowning in too much detail. Being the manager of New Star FC involves building the squad and club infrastructure from humble beginnings to competing at the very highest levels. Hiring staff, negotiating player contracts, managing fan expectations and press responsibilities are just some of the aspects covered in the game, that's before managing individual players with all their demands and the ego's that go along with that.
The match engine allows the player to take total control of how chances unfold, resulting in satisfying , flowing moves and stunning goals. These can be saved, viewed at any angle, saved and shared using the replay tools.
The game also comes with an editor that allows the player to edit their team name, stadium name, create a club badge and edit football kits.
Easy to pick up and play, but deceptively deep, New Star Manager provides a challenge to all wannabe managers.
