The first 2D Mario platformer for a home console in over 15 years. Though it has single-player, it focuses heavily on cooperative multiplayer, allowing up to 4 players to play simultaneously. This game also premiered Nintendo's Super Guide hint system.
" No, its either just the Wii mote or Wii mote with nunchuk. "
Are you sure about that? The game asks to unplug the nunchuk. "
Certain, when the game first loads it says hold the wii mote sideways, but if you plug a nunchuk in it works. I have not seen it say unplug the nunchuk.
" Blame the motion controls for no classic/GC controller support -_- "
I don't see why people are so bent out of shape about this. The motion controls work fine, given how simple they are and what they're intended for. Holding the Wii Remote sideways is no different than using an NES controller, anyway.
@dcpc10: I did read it again, and honestly, there's not much to infer from it, aside from a dislike of the motion controls. You make no mention of any desire for an alternate control scheme or options that allow control remapping.
Also, I would like to add that holding the wii remote sideways feels awkward to me......even on short sessions, but even moreso on long sessions. It was a huge mistake in my opinion for Nintendo to not add classic controller support for this game.
