Sorry to make another Ninja Gaiden thread. I'm just curious to know how you'd rank them. You can include the NES trilogy and arcade game, even though I didn't play the former.

    Here's how I rank them:

    1. Ninja Gaiden Black

    2. Ninja Gaiden Sigma

    3. Ninja Gaiden (arcade)

    4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

    5. Ninja Gaiden II (Xbox360)

    6. Getting your arm cut off from an Africa warlord

    7. Ninja Gaiden 3

    Of the ones i've completed:

    1. Ninja Gaiden Black
    2. Ninja Gaiden (Xbox)
    3. Ninja Gaiden 2
    4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma
    5. Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus
    6. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge
    7. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
    8. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus
    9. Ninja Gaiden (NES)
    10. Ninja Gaiden (Arcade)
    11. Ninja Gaiden 3

If you're wondering why i've only played the first NES game it's because it's an unlockable in the original xbox Ninja Gaiden after you complete it on hard. They replaced it with the Arcade version in Black but the way you unlocked it was the same. I also think a lot of the changes made in the Sigma versions were bad but i'm not going to get into that because it's a long list of nitpicky things.

@rejizzle: I somehow forgot about Dragon Sword, it worked surprisingly well for a stylus based action game but much like Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks it was a little awkward at times, at least it was for me. It would probably rank just below Sigma 2 for me.

    Of those I’ve played...

    1) Ninja Gaiden/Ninja Gaiden Black (2004/2005)

    2) Ninja Gaiden 2 (2008)

    3) Ninja Gaiden (Arcade - 1988)

    4) Ninja Gaiden (NES - 1988)

    5) Ninja Gaiden 2 (1990)

I missed the third game in each run and the DS game (haven’t had a handheld since the original Gameboy)...
