I've recently got back into my 3DS, I've been out of the eShop scene for a while now. I picked up Pullblox because so many people recommended it, but are there any other games on the eShop worth buying?

Mighty Switch Force which just got an update with a few new levels. Colors! 3D if you like drawing. Shantae is a DSi game but it's really good. Also a bit more expensive than most other eshop games. Other than that you should just browse through the VC games I think.

Also I hear there's a new Cave Story version coming out for the eshop.

Cannot recommend Mighty Switch Force enough. It's kind of short, but it looks so damn good, and the soundtrack is phenomenal.

Yep. Shantae and Mighty Switch Force are about the only unique things I can think of, and I scoured the entire back catalog of 3DS/DSiWare. Unless you're way into Gameboy games and willing to pay $4 for each of them... I would at least suggest Super Mario Land 1 and 2, then anything else from NIntendo's back catalog that suits you. Unfortunately the better titles are all still reserved for "ambassadors," which is a grave error on Nintendo's part, but I think they're just getting around to releasing those "exclusives" to everyone since this week saw Donkey Kong JR.

Liberation Maiden by Grasshopper Manafacture (Suda 51).

You play as a high-school girl who becomes the president of New Japan when her dad dies in the role... naturally this means you have to put on a big robot suit and fight aliens stealing your countries "energy" (or soul or something...).

It's a Panzar Dragoon style game, but you're not on rails. And there's no dragons... ... ... it's about five hours long and I thought it was brilliant.

Anyway, SteamWorld Dig is neat. Fallblox/Crashmo has come out since then too. Any of the Guild games on the eShop are cool too.
